“Before we stipulate, Your Honor, we would like first to object to the identification and authentication by the witness of corporate documents belonging to Pikimong Pikimong Philippines and JTC Group of Companies,” matod ni Gular.
“Although the bank, AMLA, and BIR records of the two companies were disallowed in connection with our request for subpoena, we intend to establish the connection between the Vice President and these entities through the testimony of this witness. Therefore, the objection is premature,” pangatarungan ni Matib.
“These companies were neither indicated nor alleged in the Articles of Impeachment,” matod ni Gular. “For consistency’s sake, this honorable court and the presiding officer have already ruled on the matter. There is no distinction between bank records belonging to these corporations and corporate records belonging to them.”
